Mahdey S. Salhab Esq.

Clifton, New Jersey

Mahdey was born in Paterson, New Jersey and continues to serve his community and northern New Jersey in general. He completed his undergraduate studies in Jurisprudence and English at Montclair State University and graduated cum laude in 2011. He received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law in 2015.

Throughout law school, Mahdey worked for many prestigious firms and governmental agencies. He worked as a law associate for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, as a law clerk to Michael J. Lunga, Esq. at McGivney & Kluger, P.C., and for many other local small firms. Additionally, Mahdey’s Note (Access to Citizenship) was selected for publication in the Rutgers Race and Law Review, where he subsequently served as a Senior Editor. Finally, Mahdey served as the President of the Muslim Law Students Association for Rutgers Law School – Newark.

Upon graduating from law school, Mahdey clerked for the Honorable Sohail Mohammed, Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Criminal Part. Following his clerkship, Mahdey founded Salhab Law LLC in 2017.

Mahdey truly enjoys learning. Therefore, he decided to designate his firm as a general practice. This allows Mahdey the opportunity to gain experience in all fields of law. Although the firm is a general practice, Mahdey has successfully represented his clients in a wide variety of cases, including Criminal Defense, Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Immigration Law, Business Law, Municipal Court, Real Estate Transactions, Civil Litigation and Landlord Tenant, among other areas of practice. Mahdey also makes it a priority to serve the underprivileged community by taking many cases on a pro bono basis. This has been a way for him to give back to the community and also serve those who need help the most. This is not a new practice for Mahdey, has he was a Pro Bono Award recipient while at law school for his work with the Street Law Program, which sends laws students to high schools and alternate youth placement centers to teach students and residents about legal issues pertinent to their lives.
